Last week, Art and Media students from our Bexley Campus had their work displayed in an exhibition at The Exchange in Erith.

The exhibition served as a platform for students to present their creative endeavours to a broader audience. This year, the theme of the exhibition was "Moment," and students' works spanned various media formats, including video documentaries, traditional paintings, and digital artwork.

Kyra, who studies Level 3 Creative Media reflected on the event, saying: "It's really good to be able to display our work for people to see. Normally, it gets posted on YouTube for marking which means people have to know what to search for to see it. Having it on display here gives the public the chance to view it and talk to us about it as well."

Mary Campbell, Senior Lecturer, said: "Bexley Art students are very lucky once again to have use of The Exchange which is a beautiful exhibition space opposite the college. This end of year culmination is an exciting way to motivate our learners and give them real experience of professional creative practice. We always enjoy sharing this journey and seeing the collective and individual pride in their accomplishments. As well as personal artistic achievement, this experience strengthens our sense of creative community, to be taken forward to the next academic year or for leavers new confidence in their skills. We are proud of the diverse, personal and expressive range of artwork this year."

Criege Pennant, Lecturer in Media, added: "This is a great opportunity for our students to showcase their work outside of the college. They have all worked extremely hard this year and displaying work at The Exchange give them a taste of being a professional in the industry."
