Jack joined thousands of runners of all abilities for the annual race, passing iconic London landmarks, including Trafalgar Square and St. Paul’s Cathedral.
Inspired to take part in the race due to his personal connection with cancer and having family members who have battled the disease, Jack felt compelled to raise money and support those similarly affected.
To prepare for the event, he engaged in regular running and gym sessions, building his stamina and strength. His commitment to training paid off as he navigated the run, surrounded by enthusiastic supporters.
Jack's experience in the run has profoundly influenced his perspective on charity events and fundraising. He found the event to be well-organised and enjoyed meeting new people, forming friendships along the way. This positive experience has motivated him to participate in more charity runs in the future.
Reflecting on crossing the line, he said: “I felt relieved as it was quite a long route but after all the running, I felt happy to say I had finished my first ever run and will take more challenges throughout my running journey.
“My advice to anyone considering a run like this is to always keep on top of your training and try to raise as much money as you can and join millions of people that take part in the run.”
Through his dedication and perseverance, Jack has demonstrated the power of community and the importance of supporting charitable causes. His journey inspires others to consider participating in charity runs.
