Property Maintenance Operative - Apprenticeship

This Apprenticeship leads to a career as a Property Maintenance Operative. The primary role of a Property Maintenance Operative is to optimise property condition and quality and to ensure the building is kept in a safe working condition. Property Maintenance Operatives need to maintain a high level of quality, providing maximum satisfaction to customers, clients, guests and team. They will understand the mechanisms of buildings, including electrical, plumbing, plant, safety systems, and equipment. They will provide a first and immediate response to fault finding whilst maximising quality and ensuring cost-effectiveness. They will prevent significant damage that could result in extensive costs and minimise reactive intervention. Carpentry & Joinery - Apprenticeship

This Apprenticeship leads to a career as a Carpenter. Carpenters carry out skilled work, primarily using timber products, either on a construction site or in a workshop, creating and installing building components. A Site Carpenter will normally work on a building site, or in domestic and commercial premises, preparing and fixing building components, from the initial erection of a new building, through to the installation of all necessary fixtures and fittings, as well as a range of repair and maintenance activities. Brickwork - Apprenticeship

This Apprenticeship leads to a career as a Bricklayers. Bricklayers lay bricks, blocks and other types of building components in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures. They might also refurbish brickwork and masonry on restoration projects. The range of sites and projects that bricklayers will work on include significant commercial developments, new builds in housing, alterations, extensions and restorations. A bricklayer may work one-on-one or on larger jobs where their bricklaying group (gang) may work on a particular section of a building alongside other bricklaying gangs and other trades. Quantity Surveying - Apprenticeship

Quantity Surveying is concerned with controlling and managing the costs of construction projects. As a Quantity Surveying Technician, you could be involved with any project stage, from feasibility, design and construction to extension, refurbishment, maintenance and even demolition. Job examples include Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Assistant Construction Surveyor, Quantity Surveying Technician, Assistant Cost Engineer or Assistant Cost Analyst. Construction Site Supervisor - Apprenticeship

Typical job roles associated with this apprenticeship include Assistant Site Manager, Assistant Supervisor and Construction Site Supervisor. In the case of SMEs, roles are likely to include Site Manager or Site Supervisor. The apprentice will complete the HNC in Construction and the Built Environment as part of this Higher Apprenticeship standard. The typical duration for this apprenticeship is three years but this will depend upon the previous experience of the apprentice and the access they have to opportunities to gain the full range of competence. Successful apprentices will gain a Level 4 HNC qualification in Construction and Built Environment (please see the relevant course page for more information) that meets the knowledge requirements of the apprenticeship standard. Do you want to become an architect, become part of the future of sustainable construction, or work in planning and civil engineering? Our T Level Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction course will give you the grounding of skills and knowledge to put you on this career path. T Levels are new courses that follow GCSEs and are equivalent to three A Levels. You'll spend 80% of your time in the classroom and 20% on a work placement with an employer to give you the skills and knowledge needed to open the door to highly skilled employment, an apprenticeship or higher-level study, including university.
