The primary role of a Property Maintenance Operative is to optimise property condition and quality and to ensure the building is kept in a safe working condition. Property Maintenance Operatives need to maintain a high level of quality, providing maximum satisfaction to customers, clients, guests and team. They will understand the mechanisms of buildings, including electrical, plumbing, plant, safety systems, and equipment. They will provide a first and immediate response to fault finding whilst maximising quality and ensuring cost-effectiveness. This Apprenticeship leads to a career as a Bricklayers. Bricklayers lay bricks, blocks and other types of building components in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures. They might also refurbish brickwork and masonry on restoration projects. The range of sites and projects that bricklayers will work on include significant commercial developments, new builds in housing, alterations, extensions and restorations. Construction Site Supervisor - Apprenticeship

Typical job roles associated with this apprenticeship include Assistant Site Manager, Assistant Supervisor and Construction Site Supervisor. In the case of SMEs, roles are likely to include Site Manager or Site Supervisor. The apprentice will complete the HNC in Construction and the Built Environment as part of this Higher Apprenticeship standard. The typical duration for this apprenticeship is three years but this will depend upon the previous experience of the apprentice and the access they have to opportunities to gain the full range of competence. Successful apprentices will gain a Level 4 HNC qualification in Construction and Built Environment (please see the relevant course page for more information) that meets the knowledge requirements of the apprenticeship standard.
