This 2 days a week course, offers both practical and theoretical insights, making it ideal for those interested in technology, IT security, and digital protection. Whether you're aiming to pursue a career in cyber security, IT support, network administration, or ethical hacking, this course provides the comprehensive training you need to succeed.

  • What you will study

    The course consists of the following six units:

    • Understanding cyber security principles
    • Threat intelligence in cyber security
    • Cyber security testing, vulnerabilities and controls
    • Cyber security incident response
    • Understanding legislation and ethical conduct within cyber security
    • Professional skills and behaviours for cyber security
  • Entry Requirements

    You must:

    • Be over 19
    • Have GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C), including English and Maths?, OR
    • Level 2 qualification (Merit or Distinction) in IT/Digital Skills/Media, OR
    • Relevant industry experience
  • Assessment

    All assessments will be internally assessed, your portfolio of evidence will be assessed externally.

  • Moving Forward

    Successful completion of the course allows progression onto:

    • A higher education course
    • Employment
    • Apprenticeship
  • Duration

    16 Weeks

  • Delivery

    This course will be taught on Tuesday and Thursdays at 5.30pm-8.30pm
