L2 Study Programme in Health and Social Care (SPL2HSC)

You will study:

• Human lifespan development
• Health and social care values
• Carrying out a research project in Health and Social Care 4 MANDATORY UNITS
• Effective communication in health and social care
• Care equality and diversity in health and social care
• Care individual rights in health and social Care healthy living.

4 GCSEs at grades 9-3 (A*-D) (English and maths desirable) or a Level 1 qualification. Students will also need an advanced DBS clearance, and final selection is by interview and internal tests.

Assessment is by

• Course work and assignments, which are both internally and externally assessed
• Two external exams
• You are required to attend college and a work placement in care homes youth settings, nurseries, schools, rehabilitation centres and nursing homes
