Caring for Children Under Five - Introductory Certificate

This course will enable you to develop a range of skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life and develop your knowledge and awareness of health and social care.

  • What you will study

    You will study the following bitesized units:

    • Planning a safe childcare environment
    • Providing a children’s creative activity
    • Developing a Personal Progression Plan
    • Supporting children’s Learning Through Everyday Experiences
  • Entry Requirements

    There are no entry requirements but if you don’t have any qualifications you will be asked to take an English and maths test.

  • Assessment

    Assessment is by course work and assignments, which are both internally and externally assessed

  • Moving Forward

    Child Care Level 2 First Extended Certificate (subject to having good attendance and interview)

  • Duration

    1 Year
