The hairdresser apprenticeship combines a full-time job and training in the hair salon with a one-day NVQ college course at a London South East College. We are looking for someone who has a creative interest in hair and a willingness to learn new skills whilst working in a team.

What will the apprentice be doing?

This will include training from Stuart Ross, who is a NVQ certified trainer and an Internal Qualified Assessor for City & Guilds. The role requires you to work 4 days a week in the salon (8 hours a day less break times). You will be expected to work Fridays and Saturdays, as these are our busiest days. Your responsibilities will include:
- Looking after clients
- Assisting in all aspects of hairdressing (including shampooing)
- Reception, appointments management, answering the telephone
- Cleaning the salon and salon equipment/towels and keeping tidy
- Assisting with social media
