Suited and booted and ready for business
For many students, the summer vacation is a time to take a break from their studies, relax a little and maybe take a holiday. Not so for a group of students from London South East Colleges’ Business BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma based at Orpington. For six whole weeks, Nour, Julia, Matthew and Tatyana donned their business suits and headed to work with some of the capital’s largest employers.
The pop-up lighthouse family
A group of creative media students from London South East Colleges’ Bexley Campus are taking part in a very interesting social media project during September. The Erith Pop-Up Lighthouse is open for the next three weeks at the entrance to its iconic pier. The project hopes to evoke Erith’s history as a place of leisure and aims to bring people closer to the river.

Catherine's great results at GCSE put her on course to a degree with honours
Catherine, 49, has had two different careers already but neither compares to the one she is pursuing right now. She has just enrolled for her second year of the Childhood Studies with SEN (Special Educational Needs) Foundation Degree validated by Canterbury Christ Church University. This was made possible by taking on both English and maths at GCSE level whilst also studying for her first-year exam units of which she scored a complete set of distinction grades.
