This course is for ambitious candidates who wish to pursue a career in the electrical installation industry. You'll get a broad introduction to most of the materials and techniques used in domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installations in the UK. Once completed you can then progress on to a Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation, one of the qualification routes recognised by the electrical industry to become a registered electrician.

  • What you will study

    This Diploma covers a wide range of electrical Installations skills including:

    -Electrical Installation Theory and Technology -Electrical Installation Methods -Electrical Installation Craft skills -Electrical Science.

  • Entry Requirements

    English and Math GCSEs grade 4 or above, plus a Level 1 Electrical qualification

  • Assessment

    Assessment will be observation of practical activities that will take the form of a series of assignments developed in the respective practical workshops and written assignments for each unit

  • Moving Forward

    Provided you fulfil all of the course requirements, you may be able to progress onto a

    • Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation
    • Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnology
    • Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations
    • Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of - Electrical Installations.
    • Or employment although not as a fully qualified electrician
