THE NURSERY ON THE GREEN AT ELTHAM LTD
An Early Years Practitioner Apprentice is required to achieve an Early Years qualification as part of the apprenticeship. Using indoor and outdoor resources appropriately to provide interesting learning opportunities as part of a team as well as other duties.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Helping to setup nursery activities for children
- Supporting children to engage in activities
- Supporting children at meal times and assisting with eating and drinking where required
- Getting involved in creative and messy play with children
- Helping children to listen, read, sing, count and join in with imaginative play
- Ensuring children are safe and supervised
- Helping to plan activities and games
- Carry out observations with qualified staff
- Learning how to communicate with parents and carers
- Tidying away after an activity is finished
- Making sure children feel safe, happy and content
- Any other duties as requested by your manager

- Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard
- Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
- Level 1 Functional Skills in English and maths
- Institute of Apprenticeship Certificate

- Professional discussion underpinned by portfolio
- Knowledge Test
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Further progression may well be available in other areas within our sector, upon successful completion of your apprenticeship. Progression to a Level 3 Early Years Educator.
